About Our Products

What is your jaggery made from?

Our jaggery products are made from sugarcane juice that is boiled and concentrated using traditional methods, then cooled and processed into powder, blocks, or candy, without added chemicals.

Do you add any colours, flavours, or preservatives?

NO. Our jaggery is free from artificial colours, flavours, and chemical preservatives. Any flavoured variants clearly mention natural ingredients on the label.

How is your jaggery powder different from regular refined sweeteners?

Jaggery is less processed and retains some minerals like iron, magnesium, and potassium that are removed in many refined sweeteners, though it is still an added sugar and should be used in moderation.

Is the taste and colour always identical?

There may be slight natural variation in colour and taste from batch to batch because sugarcane is a natural crop. We maintain quality specs so the experience stays consistent.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Most packs have a shelf life of 9–12 months from the date of packing when stored in cool, dry conditions. Always check the “Best Before” date on your pack.

Does jaggery powder solidify or form lumps over time?

Yes, exposure to moisture can cause lumping. This is natural and doesn’t mean the product is spoiled—just break the lumps gently or sieve before use.

Are your products suitable for children?

Yes, jaggery has traditionally been used in many Indian homes for children’s foods, but it is still sugar, so it should be given in moderation and as per a paediatrician’s advice, especially for very young kids.

Are your products vegetarian? & Where are your products manufactured?

Yes. Our jaggery range is 100% vegetarian and made from sugarcane. They are manufactured in our facility in India under FSSAI‑licensed, food‑safe processes and then packed hygienically.

Health & Nutrition

Is jaggery healthier than regular refined sweeteners?

Jaggery is less processed and retains more minerals and antioxidants than many refined sweeteners, but it still has similar calories and sugar content, so it should be used in small amounts.

Is jaggery safe for people with diabetes?

Jaggery still raises blood sugar and is not “diabetes‑safe.” Anyone with diabetes or blood sugar issues should consult their doctor and treat jaggery like any other added sugar.

Can jaggery help with digestion?

Traditional usage and some modern sources suggest small amounts of jaggery after meals may support digestion by stimulating digestive enzymes, but it should still be consumed moderately.

How much jaggery can I have in a day?

There is no single recommendation for everyone. Most experts advise keeping all added sugars—including jaggery—within general sugar limits (often up to 5–10% of daily calories), as guided by your health professional.

Is jaggery suitable for people on a “clean eating” or “natural foods” lifestyle?

Many people who focus on less‑processed foods prefer jaggery because it is a traditional, minimally processed sweetener, but portion control is still important.

Does jaggery help with iron levels?

Jaggery can contribute some iron to the diet, but normal portions are not enough to treat deficiencies on their own. It can complement, not replace, medical treatment or prescribed supplements.

Is jaggery good for weight loss?

Jaggery is not a weight‑loss product. It has similar calories to other sweeteners; it can fit into a balanced diet if overall calorie intake and activity are in check.

Can pregnant or breastfeeding women consume jaggery?

Jaggery is commonly used in traditional diets, but pregnancy and breastfeeding needs are specific. It should be used in moderation and as per a doctor’s or nutritionist’s advice.

Does jaggery have side effects?

Over‑consumption can contribute to the same issues as excess sugar—like weight gain or blood sugar spikes—and some people may be sensitive to sugarcane products. If you notice discomfort, reduce intake and check with a healthcare provider.

Does heating jaggery destroy its nutrients?

Cooking can reduce some heat‑sensitive compounds, but jaggery is mostly used as a sweetener and flavouring, not as a primary nutrient source, so this is usually not a major concern.
